Assam: Groups demanding smaller states meet in Delhi

26 July 2018:

The National Core Committee of The National Federation for New States met in Delhi under the chairmanship of its founder president Shreehari Aney.

The meeting was attended by representatives of All Bodo Students Union, National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Progressive), Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh, Indigenous Peoples’ Front of Tipraland, Kukiland State Demand Committee and Vidarbha Rajya Aghadi.

During the meeting, local political situations in each area was discussed and deliberated at length. All present agreed to unite against the BJP in view of the party not fulfilling its promise on the creation of separate states.
