Assam Panchayat Polls | Several Mismatch in party symbols in Ballot Paper detected

Guwahati, December 5, 2018:

During the first phase of the Assam Panchayat polls, a lot of mismatches in the electoral rolls as well as the party/candidate symbol on the ballot papers were reported from various polling stations in the state.

The voting began at around 7 am today  with tight security in 16 districts. There were several incidents were the symbols of the candidates were found to have several anomalies.

In Titabor it was seen that a Congress candidates symbol was a lotus whereas, BJP’s candidate had a hand as her symbol for voting.

Similar incidents were reported from various other locations as well.
