Assam Police apprehends 5 Myanmar nationals in Cachar
GUWAHATI: The Assam Police on Friday apprehended five Myanmar nationals from Lailapur in Assam’s Cachar. The five people were nabbed for allegedly travelling in the country illegally.

GUWAHATI: The Assam Police on Friday apprehended five Myanmar nationals from Lailapur in Assam’s Cachar. The five people were nabbed for allegedly travelling in the country illegally.
The accused have been identified as Thang Khawm Pau, 21, Khen Khan Kham, 19, Pau Hawmliam Mung, 23, Cin Aih Mang, 23 and Pau Biak Muang, 19.
All five were arrested while they were on their way to Delhi via Mizoram.
The Myanmar nationals were arrested under section 468(forgery) of IPC, relevant sections of Foreigners Act, 1946, Passport (Entry into India) Act, 1920 and Passport (Entry into India) Rules 1950.
Further interrogayion is currently underway at the Dholai police station.
