Assam Police Arrests DNLA Chief Minom Phunglosha from Karbi Anglong

Diphu, January 30, 2020:

Assam Police have arrested the militant outfit, Dimasa National Liberation Army’s (DNLA) Chief Minom Phunglosha, also known as Gazaw Dimasa from Karbi Anglong.

Based on specific information, a joint team of Karbi Anglong Police and Indian Army had carried out a search operation in the district to arrest the DNLA militant.

Assam Police, after arresting him, took to Twitter and posted, “In a major success, a joint team of @karbianglongpol & @adgpi personnel apprehended Minom Phunglosha alias Gazaw Dimasa, the self-styled Army Chief of DNLA and recovered a pistol from him.”

Assam Police also recovered a pistol and three cartridges from the Dimasa National Liberation Army’s (DNLA) Chief Minom Phunglosha during the operation.
