Assam Police provides helpline, cautions netizens not to believe or spread rumors about ‘Fani’

Guwahati, May 4, 2019:

The Assam Police has alerted residents of the State that the severe cyclone "Fani" is expected to impact Assam and other North-East states on Saturday.

A message posted on the Assam Police’s official Twitter handle cautioned: “Stay Alert and keep all essential things handy. Do not believe & spread rumours on Social Media.

As a precautionary step to tackle any dire situation, the Assam Police has provided special helpline numbers for those that might be affected by the cyclone.
