Assam Police Recovers Hidden Arms & Ammunition in Chirang District

Chirang, November 13, 2019:

A search operation was launched by a team of Chirang Police regarding the hidden arms and ammunition concealed by the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) in Damugaon village of Chirang district, on Tuesday.

On the basis of specific information, about the presence of arms and ammunitions in general area Hadan (under Panbari Police Station), the Chirang Police launched the search operation at around 11 am.

At around 2:20 pm, the team recovered one AK series rifle, and one AK rifle magazine concealed in the area.

Further investigation is on to nab the culprits who had hidden away the cache of weapons.
