A huge protest rally was organised by the Congress against the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 today, in Tinsukia district. The rally was led from Tinsukia Congress Bhawan to GNB road which ended in Tinsukia Circular Office with slogans in their hands. The protesters submitted a memorandum against the Citizenship Amendment bill through circular officer to JPC members.
In this protest rally several congress leaders including former Union Minister Pawan Singh Ghatwar, former Labour minister Prithvi Majhi, Former MLA of Tinsukia Rajendra Prasad, Former MLA of Chabua Raju Shah alongwith a large number of Congress members who came forward and raised the issue.
