Assam records 352 fresh COVID-19 cases; Kamrup (M) tops chart with 186

GUWAHATI: Assam recorded 352 fresh COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, taking the active caseload to 1902 in the current wave of the pandemic.

One person succumbed to the disease during the period. The death was reported from Lakhimpur district.

Kamrup (M) reported the highest number of 186 COVID-19 cases followed by Dibrugarh with 23, Nagaon 18, and Tinsukia 17 cases.

The new cases have been detected out of 73,329 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 36 patients were discharged today. The recoveries have touched 2,15,943 with 98.02 per cent.

The death rate stood at 0.51 per cent with 1,118 deaths.
