Assam son Rajarshi Kalita dies of COVID in Delhi

GUWAHATI: Rajarshi Kalita son of Assam's writer Arupa Kalita Patangia succumbed to COVID-19 in Delhi yesterday evening.

The 41-year-old was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Delhi since he had been infected with the virus, where he breathed his last.

Rajarshi Kalita left behind his wife and a son. 

Rajarshi Kalita served as a Professor at Shyam Lal College under Delhi University.

The national capital in the past 24 hours reported  20,960 new cases of COVID-19.
