BREAKING: Jimosaya Deori People’s Party joins Congress-led alliance

GUWAHATI: The Jimosaya Deori People’s Party that is in power in the Deori Autonomous Council, today joined the Congress-led grand alliance ahead of the Assam assembly polls.

Party president Mahesh Deori said his party enjoys support in at least 17 Upper Assam constituencies.

The Jimosaya Deori People’s Party has become the eighth constituent of the grand alliance. The other parties are All India United Democratic Front, Bodoland People's Front, Anchalik Gana Morcha, CPI, CPI (M), CPI (ML).
