BSF apprehends Bangladeshi National from Cooch Behar border

Troops of Border Security Force (BSF), under Sector headquarter Cooch Behar under the protection of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force has apprehended one Bangladeshi National from bordering area of Cooch Behar district on Friday.

GUWAHATI: Troops of Border Security Force (BSF), under Sector headquarter Cooch Behar under the protection of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force has apprehended one Bangladeshi National from bordering area of Cooch Behar district on Friday.

The Bangladeshi national has been identified as Md Faraukh (38).

As per the reports Faraukh belongs from Amtal village of Kurigram district of Bangladesh and Phulbari police station.

According to the reports, at a distance of about 1740 hours, Md Faraukh was handed over to BGB through flag meeting on proper receipt as goodwill gesture.

As per the reports, due to vulnerability of border and heightened activities of the infiltrator/ exfiltrators including anti-national elements on the border, BSF troops are alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes & illegal infiltration/exfiltrator.

Further, they are making all out efforts to prevent commission of such crime.
