BSF apprehends two cattle smugglers along Indo-Bangladesh border

Dhubri, May 1, 2019:

In different operations to curb border-related crime, troops of the Border Security Force of Guwahati Frontier apprehended two Indian cattle smugglers along with cattle on Monday, from bordering areas of New Diwaneralga, Dhubri (Assam) and Balabhut in Coochbehar (West Bengal).

The BSF troops on Monday apprehended one Indian cattle smuggler along with cattle from New Diwaneralga in Dhubri.

The apprehended cattle smuggler has been identified as Mukhtar Hussain. He has been handed over to Sukchar Police Station for further legal action.

In another incident, on Tuesday BSF troops apprehended one Indian cattle smuggler along with four cattle heads from Balabhut, while he was trying to smuggle the cattle from India to Bangladesh.

The apprehended cattle smuggler has been identified as Sahajan Sarkar. He has been handed over to Tufanganj Police Station for further legal action.
