BUSINESSMAN SHOT DEAD IN GUWAHATI

A businessman was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Guwahati. Four assailants on two motorcycles shot Hemant Chousaria from close range while he was returning home after closing his shop in Kailash Nagar, Hatigaon. The victim was rushed to the Dispur Hospital but was pronounced dead. The police recovered empty cartridge of 9 mm pistol along with a bag from the place of occurrence with Rs 1 lakh cash.
