CJI Ranjan Gogoi turns down Assam Police's security service

Guwahati, November 17, 2018:

A major slap smashed on the Assam Police as the Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi refused to accept the security provided by the Assam government on his visit to the Kamakhya temple along with his wife on Saturday.

Gogoi landed at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport in Borjhar, and received Guard of Honor by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans.

Special Director General of CRPF, Prabhat Singh is personally monitoring the security arrangements.

It may be mentioned that, after taking the oath as CJI, Ranjan Gogoi visited the temple along with his wife on October 17 where they were forced to wait at temple coincided with that of BJP president Amit Shah and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
