Cotton University elections went off with a peaceful environment

Guwahati, October 6, 2018:

The student body elections of Cotton University gripped the university campus on Saturday. From a total of 5520 students, 3628 cottonian cast their votes. According to reports, there were total 16 candidates against 18 posts.  2 uncontested candidates are already selected.

The returning officer,Rajiv kr. Bhuyansaid, a fair counting is on process and the results of the elections will be declared till 10 pm on Saturday itself.

We don’t want any organization in Cotton University, rather we want democracy inside the university premises, a Cottonian said.

Further the day of the election in Cotton University went off with peace and with a smooth environment.
