Guwahati, July 22, 2019:

Assam's 'Dhing Express' Hima Das has shown a unique talent that has left her entire fandom awestruck. As it turns out, the star sprinter is a star cook as well.

In a video that was posted in social media platforms on Sunday, Hima greets her fans and informs that she is cooking desi Indian food in Czech Republic in Europe, taking the flavors of Assamese food to Europe.

"Today is Sunday, no practice, free, the room is there to be enjoyed in. Moreover, I have cooked Indian-style, especially Assamese-style dal. The aroma is driving everyone crazy, people are wondering what I am cooking, they simply love it!", she says.

Hima informs that she had purchased the required items at the market the day before, and had made the food at her hotel room itself. "The thrill of cooking Assamese-style food somewhere outside is something else", the 'Mon Jai' girl says.

After winning 5 international-level Gold medals within the span of a month, Hima has been congratulated by many personalities such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘master blaster’ Sachin Tendulkar, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, President Ramnath Kovind, among many others. On Saturday, Hima won her 5th Gold within a month after she won the 400m race in Prague, Czech Republic, on Saturday.

The Indian sprinter Das clocked 52.09 seconds to win the race, although her personal best is 50.09 seconds.

Hima took to social media platform Twitter to share her success with her 138K followers. She wrote: “Finished 400m today on the top here in Czech Republic today”.

Earlier, Hima had bagged the gold at 200m in Tabor Athletic Meet on Wednesday. Prior to Tabor Athletic Meet, she won three gold at different events including a gold medal in Klado Athletic Meet, Kunto Athletics Meet, and Poznan Athletics Grand Prix.
