Earthquake measuring 5.0 magnitude hit Manipur, tremors felt in several parts of Assam

IMPHAL: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 on the Richter Scale struck 31 kilometres ENE of Shirui in Manipur at 12:54 am, according to the National Center for Seismology.

The epicenter was Hkamti district in Myanmar, at a depth of 93 kilometres.

The tremor was felt in several parts of Assam including Guwahati.
