EIGHT NOTORIOUS DACOITS ARRESTED IN BARPETA DISTRICT OF ASSAM

Barpeta police on Saturday arrested eight notorious dacoits in Bhabanipur in Barpeta district of Assam. The group of dacoits were involved in looting truck drivers on the National Highway. They reportedly killed many drivers during such loots. The arrested dacoits have been identified as Abdul Matin, Shreedhar Mandal, Abu Taher, Jahidul Ali, Mahibul Islam, Mujjammil Haque, Saddam Hussain and Rakibul Islam. Police have recovered two stolen vehicles along with weapons and other materials from them.
