    In two separate incidents, as many as five students drowned in Assam. Three boys were killed at Palashbari of Kamrup (rural) district, when they slipped and fell into a deep gorge while playing football. The boys were students of a local high school. The incident cast a pall of gloom in the entire area. Another two students were found dead in a pond at Bilasipara of Dhubri district by local residents.
