Four Indian Cattle smugglers apprehended in Assam’s South Salamara

Guwahati, May 4, 2019:

Four Indian cattle smugglers along with 10 cattle heads have been apprehended by the troops of Border Security Force (BSF) of Guwahati Frontier from bordering areas of Boreralga of South Salamara of Assam.

A special ambush was laid by the BSF troops of Border Outpost Boreralga near the Indo-Bangladesh border. The troops observed the suspicious movement of some miscreants along with cattle towards International Boundary on Friday evening.

The miscreants tried to cross the border towards Bangladesh along with cattle during which the troops pursued the smugglers and apprehended four of them before they could cross the International Boundary along with the cattle.

The apprehended cattle smugglers have been identified as Karim Uddin, Rijauk Karim, Hanif Sheikh, and Asmot Mullah.

They have been handed over to Kharuabandha Police Station for further interrogation.
