    JE takes epidemic form in Lakhimpur district

    Guwahati (Assam), Aug 8, 2018

    Japanese encephalitis (JE) has taken the form of an epidemic in Lakhimpur district with six deaths reported so far from various parts of the district.

    At least 74 people have also been affected so far by the vector-borne disease, most of them being children, sources said.
