MAHA SHIVRATRI CELEBRATED IN ASSAM WITH RELIGIOUS FERVOR

Maha Shivratri was celebrated today with religious fervor across Assam. Devotees drawn from different areas since morning thronged various Shiv Temples and paid obeisance to mark Maha Shivratri celebrations with religious fervour and gaiety across the state. In Guwahati, devotees thronged the Sukreswar and Basistha temple and performed special Pooja of Lord Shiva. Devotees were seen standing in long queues since morning to offer puja to the revered God. The devotees offered flowers, Bel leaves, milk, etc to the ‘Shivling’.
