Mizoram Legislative Assembly session starts today

AIZAWL: A three-day Mizoram Legislative Assembly session has commenced today, with Lalrinliana Sailo as the Speaker and Lalrinawma as Deputy Speaker.

The session is to be sine die on September 9, 2021.

According to a government official - at least 258 starred questions have been received and those to be answered during the session. There will be 227 unstarred questions as well.

Two government bills - the Mizoram Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2021, and Mizoram Agricultural Land Leasing Bill, 2021 – will be tabled during the three-day session.
