DHEMAJI: In a significant development in the sensational Nandita Saikia murder case, Dhemaji Bar Association has taken a resolution to not defend Prime accused Rintu Sharma on Saturday.
The incident has shaken the entire state compelling the citizens to question the existence of humanity.
The victim succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday.
Reportedly, she was undergoing treatment at Brahmaputra Nursing Home in Dibrugarh where she breathed her last.
The deceased hailed from Naba Kathbaru village Dhakuakhana was attacked last week by one Rintu Sharma with a machete over relationship issues.
The accused also attacked the victim’s classmate injuring her severely.
The victim was a B.A. third-semester student of Maridhal College in Dhemaji.
