Over 700 UBPO members joins BJP

Over 700 leaders and members of the United Bodo Peoples’ Organisation (UBPO) joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Guwahati on Friday.

Welcoming the newly-joined members to the party, chief minister Sonowal said, “We should progress taking all the communities and tribes together.”

Sarma highlighted the efforts of the BJP-led government to preserve the culture, identity and tradition of the different ethnic groups of the state.
