Railway police rescued abducted minor, arrests kidnapper

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has rescued a nine year old minor boy along with his kidnapper before boarding train no. 05955 spl from the Dibrugarh railway station. The kidnapper namely Raju Chhetry, resident of Mahadevpur, reportedly ran away with the minor boy without the consent of his parent.

On getting the information, the RPF conducted a search at the Dibrugarh station and managed to apprehend the kidnaper with the minor boy. The minor boy is from Dewpani, Roing, dist: Lower Dibang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh. Both of them were later handed over to GRP/Dibrugarh for further course of action as per law.

It may be mentioned here that during the last three years, RPF NFR successfully arrested more than 50 such traffickers along with the rescue of hundreds of minor children.
