Guwahati (Assam), Aug 31, 2018:

Congress’s Assam in-charge Harish Rawat on Friday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had bypassed all procedures while signing the Rafale deal with a French company.

“I won’t use the word Narendra Modi government….Narendra Modi had ignored all procedures and singlehandedly signed the Rafale deal with a French company,” Rawat told reporters at a press conference in Guwahati.

He asserted that all democratic forces in the country had decided to expose this biggest defence scam.

“A day before, our leader challenged them saying if you have something to say (on the deal), why are you not constituting a joint parliamentary committee? The BJP has no answer on the Rafale deal. There are many questions in people’s mind regarding the deal,” Rawat claimed.

He informed that AICC leaders Dipa Dasmunshi would address a press conference in Silchar on September 1 and Mukul Wasnik would address another in Guwahati on September 3 on the deal.
