Rs 25,000 cheques distributed to self help groups in West Karbi Anglong

Diphu: Cheques were distributed to self-help groups (under Kanaklata Mahila Sabalikaran Yojana) under Socheng Village Development Council (VDC) in West Karbi Anglong district of Assam. Organized by Chingthong ITDP Block ASRLMS, the event was held at the Multi-Utility Building of Hamren New Market on Thursday (January 14).

Mansing Rongpi, MLA, attended as a chief guest in the presence of Rupsing Teron (KAAC EM) as well as Local MAC Socheng. Various other dignitaries were also present.

Rupsing Teron distributed a cheque of Rs. 25000 each to 56 Self-help groups in Socheng Rural area for working capital in rural areas.

"You should invest it in such undertaking where the fund increases," Teron appealed to the groups.

He also distributed 20 sewing machines to the beneficiaries; 5 beneficiaries under Socheng Constituency also received also 5 solar panels. 11 OBC beneficiaries received the Agriculture kids of under Socheng Constituency added.
