Guwahati, November 1, 2018:
A Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RRS) activist, who allegedly defamed a popular regional satellite channel recently, has surrendered in Barpeta.
The activist Dilip Kumar Biswas defamed the channel on social media platform by editing a Breaking News on Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Akhil Gogoi and uploaded the morphed material after which there was an outrage against the channel.
The channel filed a complaint with the police. Biswas went underground since then to evade arrest.
