The associate teachers staged protest against the re-appointment into the teacher’s post at Hatigaon Sewali Path in Guwahati on Thursday.
The protestors blocked the roads holding placards with slogans against the government.
It is to be mentioned that 1,514 teachers, belonging to All Assam Salary Deprived Assistant Teachers’ Association (AASDATA), have threatened to end their lives by jumping into the Sivasagar “pukhuri” (pond) on July 26 as their salaries were not released for six years.
