Two Tuskers dead after being hit by Rajdhani Express

Guwahati: On Wednesday morning, two elephants were killed in the Khetri area of Kamrup Metro after being hit by a train. The Tuskers were said to have ventured out to search food.

Guwahati: On Wednesday morning, two elephants were killed in the Khetri area of Kamrup Metro after being hit by a train. The Tuskers were said to have ventured out to search food.

The Jumbos were killed after they had ventured out from the jungles in search of food. The incident had reportedly taken place around 44 kilometres from Guwahati.

They were hit by the Rajdhani Express train after they had come onto the tracks.

As of now, the forest department is clearing the area and procedures for autopsy were initiated while filing this report.

The deceased animals will be buried in a designated place.
