Wild elephant atrocity triggers panic in Baksa

BAKSA: A wild elephant has triggered panic among the people in Baksa district of Assam by entering a village, killing cattle, and causing property damage this morning.

The people of Bagarikhuti no 2 in Guwabari area in Nagrijuli were terrified after the wild elephant killed a cattle in the village.

The owner of the cow, Ravi Das from the same village said the wild elephant charged towards them entering his house.

The elephant had destroyed paddy fields, banana plantations in the area as well as bicycles of the villagers.

It needs to be mentioned that for the past few days, wild elephants have been wreaking havoc in Latibari, Guabari, Kauli, and other areas of the district.
