WOMAN DIES AFTER BEING SET ON FIRE BY HUSBAND

Guwahati, November 10, 2018:
A woman who was allegedly set ablaze by her husband and in-laws died at the Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) on Saturday.
The victim, Amiya Begum who received severe burn injuries was admitted to the GMCH on November 3.
Amiya Begum was allegedly set ablaze after she failed to meet her husband’s demands to bring more dowry.
Based on the deceased father’s complaint, police arrested her husband Jakir Hussain and his parents.
