AIUDF intensifies campaign for Nagaon Lok Sabha bypoll in Assam

The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) has intensified its election campaign across the Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency ahead of the upcoming bypoll, with party leader Rezaul Karim Sarkar interacting with voters at Tukutuki-Katohguri Bazar in Assam’s Dhing Assembly constituency.

During the interaction, Sarkar claimed that the Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency has around 12.5 lakh minority voters and asserted that an AIUDF candidate could win the election if the minority electorate voted in favour of the party.

Sarkar criticised both the BJP and the Congress, alleging that while both parties seek votes from the minority community, they do not give adequate importance to its political representation.

He appealed to voters to elect a representative from the minority community from Nagaon and send the person to Parliament.

The AIUDF leader also criticised the BJP-led government over eviction drives and urged people to remain united to protect their constitutional rights and interests.

The campaign event was attended by AIUDF district president Matiur Rahman, youth wing president Habibur Rahman, former Tukutuki Zila Parishad member Golam Rabbani and around 1,000 supporters, according to party sources.

The Nagaon Lok Sabha bypoll is expected to witness a keen contest, with political parties stepping up their outreach across the constituency.
