AIUDF questions sudden ceasefire after Pahalgam attack, demands continued anti-terror ops

All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) MLA Rafiqul Islam has raised strong concerns over the sudden halt in the anti-terror operation following the recent militant attack in Pahalgam. 

Expressing grief over the killing of innocent civilians, Islam stated that the entire nation stands firmly with the Indian Army.

He condemned the incident and stressed that the counter-terrorism action should have continued "till the end" to ensure the complete elimination of extremist threats.

Islam questioned the timing and rationale behind the ceasefire, pointing out that statements made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and U.S. President Donald Trump may have contributed to confusion around the operation's status.

He urged the central government to issue a clear clarification on whether the mission was indeed completed. 

“Extremism must be uprooted from its roots,” he asserted, emphasising the need for firm and decisive action against terrorism.
