Assam: 515th birth anniversary of Bir Chilarai observed with great reverance across state

The 515th birth anniversary of Bir Chilarai was observed with great reverence across Assam on February 12. 
 

Various events were organised in different parts of the state to honour the legacy of the great warrior and commander of the Koch-Rajbongshi.
 

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) observed the occasion at its office premises. The event was organised under the initiative of the party’s Koch-Rajbongshi Cell.
 

Several prominent leaders, including senior BPF leader and former minister Pramila Rani Brahma, BTC MCLA Derhasad Basumatary and other senior party members were present at the event.
 

As a tribute to Mahavir Chilarai, the dignitaries offered floral tributes, remembering his contributions to the region’s history and his role in strengthening the Koch kingdom.
