Assam: 76th Republic Day celebrated in Dhubri, martyrs honoured

Assam's Dhubri joined the country in celebrating the 76th Republic Day. An event was organised at the Dhubri Raja Prabhat Chandra Baruah Playground, where tributes were paid to the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for India's freedom struggle.
 

Students from various schools marched and assembled at the Dhubri Raja Prabhat Chandra Baruah Playground.
 

Dhubri District Commissioner Dibakar Nath formally unfurled the national flag at 9 am after receiving the salute from the police, paramilitary forces, and other contingents.
 

In another development, Assam's Kokrajhar also participated in the celebrations. A central event was organised by the district administration at the Kokrajhar Government Higher Secondary and Multipurpose Ground.
 

The celebration commenced at 9 am with the hoisting of the national flag by Bodoland Territorial Council (BTR) CEM Pramod Boro marking the occasion with pride and patriotism.
