Assam: 808 grams of Yaba recovered in Sribhumi, rider flees leaving scooter

In a significant anti-narcotics operation, the Sribhumi Traffic Police recovered illegal drugs worth several lakhs of rupees during a naka checking drive at AOC Point in Sribhumi town.

According to officials, a scooter rider approached the checkpoint but suddenly abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene, raising suspicion. Upon inspecting the scooter, police discovered 808 grams of Yaba tablets concealed under the seat.

The seized scooter, bearing registration number AS/11/AD/5284, is registered in Silchar, and the owner has been identified as Khedeja Khan. 

Authorities have initiated further investigation to trace the supplier and determine the extent of the drug trafficking network linked to the incident.
