Assam: Ahead of new theatre season, Theatre Rudra inaugurates rehearsal hall in Morigaon

Mobile theatre troupe Theatre Rudra on July 5, inaugurated its new rehearsal hall in Morigaon, marking an addition to the district's cultural infrastructure ahead of the upcoming theatre season.
 

The facility was formally inaugurated in the presence of theatre enthusiasts and several prominent personalities associated with Morigaon's social and cultural spheres. The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
 

According to the organisers, the rehearsal hall will serve as the primary venue for Theatre Rudra's rehearsals and full-scale preparations for its productions in the forthcoming theatre season.
 

The inauguration was welcomed by members of the local theatre community, who described the new facility as a boost to Morigaon's cultural landscape. Speakers at the event conveyed their best wishes to the troupe for a successful season and expressed hope that the rehearsal hall would contribute to the growth of theatre and cultural activities in the district.
