BJP-supported candidates have emerged victorious in Assam's Borgolai, Makumpathar, and Ketetong village panchayats under the 83rd Margherita Assembly constituency.
The vote counting, which began this morning, concluded with a resounding victory for the BJP alliance across all three gaon panchayats.
In Borgolai panchayat, former president Meera Churba, vice-president Jhuma Sen, and ward members Swapna Chetri Bhuje, Ranjit Chetri, Bhanu Tanti, Lakshmi Jaishi, Khusbu Kar, and Shantanu Debnath claimed victory.
Additionally, Roopa Chetri from Congress and Sarada Chetri from Raijor Dal secured seats in the panchayat.
In Makumpathar, a panchayat previously under BJP control, all eight BJP-supported candidates emerged victorious.
