The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nalbari District Committee on October 22 organized a mass public rally demanding justice for late artist Zubeen Garg, whose untimely demise has left Assam in deep mourning.
The rally was held under the slogan “Don’t politicize, my friend”, as hundreds of BJP leaders, workers, and supporters marched through the streets of Nalbari, carrying BJP flags and calling for a fair investigation into the circumstances surrounding the celebrated singer’s death.
The Justice Rally for Zubeen Garg began at the Shaheed Mukunda Kakati Bus Stand and proceeded through the town’s main thoroughfares before concluding at the Government Gordon Higher Secondary School playground, where a massive public gathering was organized.
Prominent leaders including Union Minister Pabitra Margherita, Member of Parliament and State BJP President Dilip Saikia, Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah, and Senior BJP Leader Chandra Mohan Patowary addressed the crowd.
Each speaker reiterated the party’s firm stand on ensuring justice for the globally acclaimed artist, while urging the public to remain united in their demand for truth and accountability.
The leaders also emphasized that the movement transcends political boundaries and is a reflection of the people’s collective emotion for one of Assam’s most beloved icons.
