Assam: Body of youth found in Hatigaon, investigation underway

A body of a young man was found at House No. 40 at Shankar Path near Hatigaon locality .The deceased identified as Pradeep Das from Ghilamara in Lakhimpur and was employed at a local restaurant.

According to preliminary information, Pradeep Das resided in the rented accommodation along with a friend. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear prompting the presence of Hatigaon police at the scene. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. Pradeep's brother shared insights into the tragic incident. He stated, "My brother had recently started working at Café 90s and had only been here for about 20 days. Yesterday, he called me and seemed perfectly fine. However, today around 6:30, his roommate called me, informing me that my brother had stopped breathing and urged me to come quickly. Both the police and magistrate arrived, but as of now, no cause has been determined. We will have to wait for the results of the post-mortem examination to ascertain whether it was poisoning or some other factor."
