The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Sports and Youth Welfare Department announced a pre-recruitment camp for the Infantry Battalion and Territorial Army, benefitting the youth of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
The recruitment drive, aimed at providing job opportunities for aspiring youth, will be held from November 22 to November 26.
The announcement was made during a press conference at the BTC Sports Department office in Titaguri, Kokrajhar, on November 13 evening.
Daobaisa Boro, the executive member of the BTC Sports and Youth Welfare Department, shared details about the recruitment process and the pre-recruitment training sessions. These sessions, focusing on physical fitness and health-related assessments, will begin on November 17, in preparation for the main recruitment camp.
The pre-training sessions will be conducted across various locations for the youth of the five BTR districts.
On November 17, training sessions will be held at the following venues:
Kokrajhar District: Kokrajhar Government Higher Secondary and Multipurpose School playground
Gossaigaon Sub-Division: Gossaigaon Higher Secondary School playground
Parbatjhora Sub-Division: Parbatjhora Mini Stadium
All sessions will begin at 10 am. Interested youth from these regions have been encouraged to attend.
The initiative comes as part of the BTC Council’s ongoing efforts to empower local youth by providing them with employment opportunities in the armed forces. The recruitment camp will offer a chance for youth to join the Infantry Battalion and Territorial Army, sectors that provide stability and opportunities for long-term career growth.
The BTC Sports and Youth Welfare Department has urged all interested individuals to participate in the pre-recruitment training and take advantage of this opportunity to improve their physical fitness and health ahead of the official recruitment.
This pre-recruitment camp is seen as a significant step in creating opportunities for youth in the region, and the BTC Council is hopeful that it will open new paths for employment and personal development.
