BTR Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro conducted a detailed inspection of the BTR Legislative Assembly building on Saturday, February 15, reviewing preparations for the upcoming Assam budget session.
The inspection comes as Kokrajhar readies to host the first day of Assam's Legislative Assembly Budget Session, marking a departure from the traditional venue in Dispur, Guwahati. Workers are giving the final touches to the BTR Legislative Assembly building and BTR Secretariat, while the town undergoes beautification with banners lining major roads.
Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya will address the historic session, which will focus on development initiatives in the state's Sixth Schedule areas.
All Bodo Students' Union President Dipen Boro highlighted the session's significance, noting it would facilitate crucial discussions on powers and functions concerning Assam's Sixth Schedule regions.
