Assam: Doctor detained for allegedly misbehaving with Moran sub-divisional commissioner

A doctor was detained by police after allegedly harassing and misbehaving with Dingshengpha Barua, the sub-divisional commissioner of Mahmara, in the middle of a road in Moran, Assam.

According to reports, the incident occurred after another vehicle collided with the official vehicle of the sub-divisional commissioner. 

The vehicle was allegedly being driven by a doctor associated with the Moran State Hospital.

Following the accident, the doctor allegedly abused and misbehaved with Barua, prompting police intervention.

On receiving information about the incident, personnel from Moran Police and Moranhat Police Station reached the spot and detained the doctor before taking him to the police station for questioning.

The alleged mistreatment of a senior woman administrative officer in a public place has triggered strong reactions among local residents. Further details about the incident and any action against the doctor are awaited.
