Assam: Elderly man dies after being hit by truck in Dhubri

In a tragic road accident, where an elderly pedestrian lost his life after being hit by a speeding truck occurred in Gauripur's Beparipatti area in Dhubri.

The incident took place while the man was crossing the road, and he was fatally struck by a truck bearing the registration number NL-02Q-8786. 

Upon receiving the information, the Gauripur police rushed to the scene.

The authorities recovered the body and sent it to Dhubri Medical College and Hospital for postmortem. As of now, the identity of the deceased remains unknown. 

The police managed to intercept the truck involved in the accident and have taken it to the Gauripur police station.

Local residents have expressed concern over frequent accidents in the area and have urged the authorities to implement stricter traffic regulations to prevent further mishaps.
