Assam: Election campaign for Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council gains momentum

As the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council elections draw closer, political rallies, activities have intensified in the region. The elections are set to take place on April 2, with various parties and organizations actively campaigning.
In a significant development, Sumit Rabha, the candidate representing the Rabha Hasong Joint Struggle Committee (RHJM) and the NDA for the 27th Council Constituency, officially launched his election campaign in Boko. The inauguration of his campaign office at Boko Dakuwa Para was marked by a grand procession, where thousands of supporters participated. The rally commenced from the Rabha Hasong Inspection Bungalow, moved along the main road, and culminated at the newly opened office.
The campaign office was formally inaugurated by Dr. Subhash Rabha, General Secretary of the All Rabha Students’ Union. Following the inauguration, a public meeting was held, highlighting key issues and election strategies.
Meanwhile, the Rabha Hasong Joint Movement Committee (RHJMC) has expressed satisfaction over the withdrawal of nominations by two Congress candidates, which could potentially influence the electoral landscape.
