In a distressing turn of events, farmers in Gohpur's Milanpur Kharnijan village are facing severe water scarcity, leading to cracked fields and deteriorating crop conditions. The relentless heat has exacerbated the situation, leaving farmers in a dire predicament.
One local farmer expressed his despair, saying, "We did plant paddy seeds but because of the dryness we are worried about the worst situation. If the dire situation continues, our situations will be worst because we won't get food. The relentless heat has scorched the land, leaving not a drop of water for the fields. We are left in despair as our lifeline has vanished."
The scorching sun has taken a heavy toll on Gohpur's agricultural lands, particularly in areas without irrigation facilities. Fields that were once lush with potential are now marred by cracks and barren patches. Many farmers have been unable to sow shali paddy straw, and those who managed to plant bhui are witnessing their crops deteriorate due to the severe lack of water.
The plight of the farmers in Milanpur Kharnijan village of the Gopalpur village panchayat highlights a critical need for intervention. With the situation worsening, farmers are urgently appealing to the government for assistance. They are calling for the implementation of irrigation facilities to provide much-needed relief and support to the struggling farming community.
As the crisis deepens, the immediate response from authorities will be crucial in addressing the needs of these farmers and mitigating the impact of the ongoing water scarcity.
