The second phase of Gunotsav, the state-level initiative to assess the quality of education in Assam, commenced today in Sonitpur district, along with 14 other districts across the state. The event was formally inaugurated at No. 1 Dolabari Primary School in the Gavru Education Block of Tezpur.
In a significant move, Gunotsav will take place across 1184 schools in Sonitpur district this year. The opening ceremony was marked by the presence of the students' parents, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere. The morning meeting, which served as the official start to the day’s events, was filled with enthusiasm, set in the beautiful surroundings of the school.
Gunotsav aims to provide a platform for self-assessment and to evaluate the progress of schools in terms of teaching quality, student performance, and infrastructure. This initiative continues to be a key step in improving the educational landscape of Assam.
