Assam: Guru Nanak Jayanti observed in Dhubri's historic Gurudwara

The 554th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev is being observed at the historic Gurudwara Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib today in Assam's Dhubri.
Devout Sikhs gathered in large numbers and offered ritual prayers while observing the birth anniversary of the first Sikh guru.
The Guru Nanak Jayanti festivities have been observed for three days at the historic gurudwara where akhand path and kirtan path are being held. Apart from that, free food at the community kitchen (langar) is also being served to devotees who are turning up for the Guru Nanak Jayanti festivities.
"We are observing the 554th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji at the Gurudwara Sri Tegh Bahadur Sahab. The akhand path began two days ago and it concluded yesterday at 10 am. Today at 11 am, the akhand path was held. Now kirtans are going on continuously. The langar is also going on continuously. The kirtan will end by 1 pm. After that the langar will continue till 5 pm," said Gurbindar Singh, manager of the gurudwara.
